Visit from the Doctors (From Guyana to Jamaica and back)

Dr. Sharon Earle-Edwards, me, and Dr. Benita Alfred

Earlier this year when these Doctors visited Guyana, they did not want to return to Jamaica without visiting me. I must admit that I felt quite honoured about this fact. Dr. Edwards is a Jamaican whom is a Medical Doctor and author of the book "PILLS for the Happy Soul." PILLS is her acronym for "Prescription Inspiration Life Lessons for Success." I have my autographed copy and I encourage you to get your copy of her book. See below for ways in which you can get this book.

Dr. Alfred is a Guyanese and medical doctor who has been serving in Jamaica for more than twenty two (22) years. I wanted to write about the amazing contribution of this woman for years but she prefers to remain in the background. I esteem her very highly and I acknowledge her efforts towards the well being of others. She is among the many Guyanese Doctors in Jamaica and among the thousands of Guyanese around the world who are making tremendous contributions to the nations in which they reside yet they are very humble.

Dr. Mc Sweeney is another Guyanese who visited me as recent as this month. She holds two (2) doctorates. In addition to being a medical doctor, she is also a Methodist Minister who has been lecturing at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica for several years. This is a Minister whom ever person of every denomination calls upon. She is there for everyone and her humility is inspiring. It was really a privilege for me, my wife, and children to be graced with her presence again.

I pray that God continue to richly bless these doctors as they continue to serve faithfully in Jamaica.
